After Reunion Update
Class of 1968 - 45th Reunion
August 16th & 17th, 2013
The reunion committee has been actively meeting for the past few months preparing for the 45th reunion. The date, August 17th is set and the attire is very informal Hawaiian. We will also have a Friday night August 16h hospitality room at the Mandalay Beach Resort, where the Saturday night reunion is being held. Plan on coming both nights.
As of now these are our plans:
We are going back to the Mandalay Beach Resort.
We are going to accomplish this time what we could not the last; that is, to rent the presidential suite (large suite facing the ocean) for Friday and Saturday August 16th and 17th, 2013. We already have the money to pay for this. This will enable our entire class to take advantage of the amenities of the resort for two days (pool, spas, free afternoon drinks and a very large suite to party to the wee hours of the morning). We will try to stock a bar in the room for a hospitality location. We will rent the same room as before and have a very informal luau. A buffet of appropriate Hawaiian food will be offered.
We will be seeking a band and possibly Polynesian dancers to entertain us. Margaret agreed to wear a grass skirt with two coconut halves to cover..........well, you get the idea. A HUGE thank you to the ladies who worked so hard at the last reunion to put together some great auction gifts. This is providing us the money to offer the great amenities this time around
